Ibanez MFM-2 Marty Friedman Sig. $1100.00 - SOLD!

Filed Under (*Signature*, Ibanez, x- SOLD -x) by Importstrings on 27-10-2008

New condition

Marty Friedman would have to be one of those “square pegs in the round hole” of guitarists. Musically frustrated? mmmm maybe? Talented? SHIT YEA!!! From Cacophany’s Classically orchestrated shred to Megadeth’s kick you in the teeth solos, then his forever changing styles on Scenes, True Obsessions, Music for speeding and Loudspeaker solo albums to name a few. This is one guitarist whose not afraid to explore, leaving you scratching your head as to “what the hell” he is going to do next, nonetheless always an awesome musical experience!!!!

Which comes to the guitar. The MFM-2. The controversial MFM-1 and MFM-2 Marty created with Ibanez would have to be simplicity at its best. This has a Les Paul feel and a very Marty sound, the Seymour Duncan/IBZ creation is a high output hum bucker that screams, if you like harmonics? no probs. The controls? on/off easy!(your pet Budgie could work it out) One thing for sure its great live with huge crisp, clean acoustics, reliable and simple.
In Marty’s words “I asked(Ibanez)for the strongest guitar possible, and they built a manly guitar that’s solid and never goes out of tune” What more can we say?

Fingerboard : 22 Medium fret Rosewood w/Pearloid star inlay

Ibanez 540S STT - SOLD!

Fantastic quality

The guitar they said could not be built successfully! A guitar so thin would surely have no depth and tone they said, but on release they had to pick their jaws up of the ground. This was Ibanez at one of its most innovative eras the 540S with its ultra thin body hugging profile is so light and comfortable to play and packed with what most Ibanez collectors/players think is “The best” combination of pick-ups ever produced. The U.S.A made F and C series pick-ups are truly amazing, giving a wide range of sounds and tones. The 540S’s F and C series were sadly only produced for a few years (by the mid 90’s MOST guitar companies were cutting corners/$ due to low demand and a change in music fashion). These guitars with their Honduras Mahogany body’s and pick-up combination focused on Bass, Treble and Mid-Range frequencies yet, clear warm tones you can go from Metal to Jazz at a flick of the switch and it showed with the versatility of the endorsees such as, Testament’s Alex Skolnik or Scott Henderson, Jennifer Batten, Frank Gambale etc. The 540S Importstrings have is an all original 1989 model in fantastic condition which, came with the HQ low-Pro tremlo a unique full floating tremlo with string-thru design and magnum locking tuners. This colour variation was only available for the Japanese market. When LOUD AND LIVE the 540S really shows its colours, you don’t just hear it, you feel it. This is one of Ibanez’s best moments!
