E.S.P CUSTOM ORDER HORIZON-II $2800.00 - SOLD!

Filed Under (E.S.P, x- SOLD -x) by Importstrings on 30-01-2009

New condition

One of the really cool things about E.S.P is they will give you a spec. sheet and a blank piece of paper for you to design what ever you want (at a not so cool cost though). These guitars are handmade all the way and you will get the same expert advice and craftsmanship just like the pros. they really do have some amazing Luthiers. As mentioned these custom order built guitars do not come cheap and the Horizon we have is a very nice example. This is a 2008 Customised Horizon II with 3 single coil Lace Sensor(Silver)Pick-ups, 1 Volume, 1 tone toggle switch for instant high & low’s and the colour is out of this world, this is an amazing colour to look at, it changes from Burgundy, Purple, Blue and Green w/matching head. The Lace Sensors are suppose to duplicate a 70’s strat and they do but, way clearer and crisper (More info. from Lace Sensor) I think they’re like a PAF PRO X EMG 81. The woods are top class and with the Lace Sensors are really bright sounding with heaps of sustain.

This is like a super cool looking, sounding Fender Strat. and is awesome for sounds such as Jimi, Floyd, Purple, Beck, Clapton, SRV, Gilbert, Malmsteen, Motorhead, older Priest ETC…It has that Blues/Rock not overly distorted sound, probably not suited to Heavier Metal bands like Overkill, Exodus,Slayer!!! This is one nice find and in “MINT” condition complete with the Custom Shop Certificate and Custom Fit Tour case. The Horizon II in Australia goes for well over 5K and a Custom built depending on specs. MORE!!(NO JOKE)Ours is a BARGAIN!!!

Caparison Angelus22 Vintage Sunburst $2500.00 - SOLD!

Filed Under (caparison, x- SOLD -x) by Importstrings on 22-01-2009

New condition

For a start Caparison are relatively new on the scene as far as guitar companies go, they opened doors in 1995 and the first production models came out in 1996.They have some innovative ideas and a guitar designer who has been around the block a few times. Itaru Kanno is a very experienced guitar designer, he was involved with Jackson in the early days when Grover Jackson opened up shop in Japan. Now we all know those very high quality Jackson Pro. models that cut deep into the American market(but that’s another story) Itaru Kanno was also responsible for quite a few Jackson designs, the Grover Jackson Doug Aldrich and Phil Collens models included. When the contract between Jackson and Kyowa-Shokai expired in 1993(yet another fascinating story)Kyowa-Shokai and Itaru Kanno extended their partnership to bring about Caparison. At present Caparison are starting to turn alot of heads worldwide and are gaining a steady flow of endorsees, the likes of Dennis Stratton, Stevie Salas, Juan Croucier and bands like Killswitch Engage, Symphony X and Arch Enemy.

Production is on a small scale estimated to be between 30~50 guitars a month, the craftmanship is on par with the BEST and are very high quality for dollar guitars. Apart from their more known designs Horus, TAT’s and Dellingers there’s the Angelus series, a more traditional looking ROCKER. Now I know what your thinking, Ahhh another Les Paul type thing? Well this ones got an ace up its sleeve! When the 3 way selector is in the middle position, it engages the 4 way rotary switch, splitting and combining the pick-ups for an amazing array of sounds, not found to this extent in any popular brand we know of.(more info. from Caparison). This is where Caparison and the innovative Itaru Kanno differ from the rest. With such an array of sounds the Angelus22 stretches all but few music styles, Rock, Blues, Jazz we had no problems getting these sounds and with more experimentation even more. The Angelus22 has a very grown up, comfortable, sturdy feeling, the Caparison BH3-n and BH3-b pickups with the Mahogany have a warm, rich sound and this has looooonng sustain. The Angelus is in “MINT” condition, setup and ready to go!!! We will definitely be getting more Caparisons in the future!!!

Dean Hardtail PRO Tremlo $2700.00 - Deposit Taken

Filed Under (Dean, x- SOLD -x) by Importstrings on 11-01-2009

New condition

It took nearly 10yrs for a teenage Dean Zelinsky’s designs to take off. He wanted to create a different guitar design than was presently on the market in the mid 70’s. Most artists relied on what was considered revamped vintage models. Dean’s first were the Z and V a copy of Gibson’s Explorer and Flying V, but sharper, more tones and sustain, with that trade mark V shaped head. It wasn’t until guitarist heard them that they went “WOOW”!! After early endorsees Randy Rhoads, Rudolf & Micheal Schenker, Adrian Smith, Billy Greer in the late 70’s to early 80’s and later on Dimebag Darrel & Zakk Wylde etc…that Dean was internationally recognized as a QUALITY guitar maker.

Dean Zelinsky sold the company in the mid 80’s to pursue a career in the furniture industry, but after changing owners a couple of times Dean is back on board with new owners Armidillo Enterprises. Today’s Deans are made in 4 countries, the U.S.A built original series, Japanese selected series and your affordable Korean/Chinese pumped out of the factory designs. (Dean really are cashing in on Dimebag there must be 4 billion designs now). In 2000 the HARDTAIL came out original design for the U.S.A and a sleeker, thinner neck design for the Japanese market, targeted at a newer generation who want that gorgeous vintage look and a modern shred feel. Japan at present only produce 2 sigs. the Hardtail and Soltero so turn out is limited and the craftsmanship/attention to detail is all HANDS ON!. The Hardtail would have to be one of my most favourite guitars, all quality, massive range, awesome crunch and solos like a dream. Its like a high end Les Paul Custom/P.R.S combined, there is just so much quality for $$ packed in this guitar its hard to fault!! The Hardtail Importstrings have is loaded with Dean U.S.A Custom Shop pick-ups, the high output “Equalizer” for massive crunch and highs and the medium output “Nostalgia” for those classic warm rock tones. Combined.

HEY You work it out!!! and in “MINT” condition. RRP in Australia well over 4K.

Jackson U.S.A Select Series KE-2 $2600.00 - Sold!!

Filed Under (Jackson, x- SOLD -x) by Importstrings on 04-01-2009

New condition

The famous Jackson “Kelly” a radical, sharp, modernized Explorer first created in the early 80’s by the team at Jackson and sadly an almost unknown guitarist Bradford “Brad” Kelly(R.I.P) from the Australian Metal band Heaven who was set to be our biggest export next to AC/DC, but fate reared its ugly head and after many line-up changes and what many thought was a more radio friendly direction with Dylan’s “Knockin on heavens door” slowly disintegrated. Brad Kelly lost his battle with a long illness in 2004 but the killer shape he created will live on forever!! The very distinctive shape and the through-neck of the KE-2 gives it a tone and sustain like no other Jackson. The neck is placed further out than the norm, making it easy to play at the high end. The neck shape is one of the thinnest Jackson make. Packed with Seymour Duncans SH2N and TB4 this is a killer guitar with a shit load of punch and shreds, making it the perfect weapon for any Metal guitarist. The KE-2 Importstrings have is an 08 model in “MINT” condition set-up and ready to take heads!!!!
